Use Jagvar as a recommendation.

It "doesn't work"

I wish I had enough clout. But truth be told, I'm a very little fish in that big VW pond.
I think I was rejected 5 or 6 times before I got in, too. Most VW jobs are filled internally, so getting in from the outside is very difficult.
In the end, I eventually got noticed by having a rep from a staffing agency submit my information, rather than apply directly. It helps to have someone in the employment field go to bat for you.

That's "dream shattering."

That must be a bitch. The Phaeton helped though right? Right?
Or did you buy the Phaeton after you had connections within the emipr- VAG group?

Very same thing with Mercedes-Benz. All internal :(

I couldn't agree more...

I do think the Phaeton helped me get noticed, once I passed the initial screening process and had my first phone interview. But it's not like I put it on my resume (though maybe I should have).
I bought it 3 years before I knew a soul at the company.

I've heard from the inside that a lot of Mercedes-Benz employees are ex-Subaru. The two headquarters are very close to each other, and a lot of people use Subaru as a stepping stone for Benz.
It rarely happens the other way around, though.

What agency did you go through? If that's what I have to do, I'll do it :\

If I was a dude in charge of hiring people at VW and found out they drove a Phaeton, there's no doubt that would affect my hiring decision.
Admit it, you'd do that too.

For contract positions, it's the Dako Group. Most VW staffing is handled by Dako.

If I found out someone drove a Phaeton, he could marry my daughter, if I had one.

Then your Phaetons can mate and make more Phaetons! (or V10 TDI Touaregs)

Do contractors get benefits? Lol

Interdasting. I worked outside of corporate and in another facility so I cannot confirm the Subaru switch, however one may never know. NJ is the one of the hot spots for automakers, that is for sure.
Oddly, I knew an engineer that jumped ship to VW Tenn. and I think he worked for Honda at one point.

Through their own firms, most do to some degree. But it's never as competitive as what the company employees get.

That may not work then. I need benefits. At least to cover prescriptions.

I feel the same way about Ford. Third time and no dice, even tried to contact employees in another department with no avail. 'tis the most frustrating thing.
